Diversified activities to care for workers

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, reports from localities and units, during the Lunar New Year 2025, more than 12 million union members and workers benefited from the care activities of the Trade Union organization, with a total budget of more than 8,078 billion VND.

Of which, the Union's financial resources are 4,034 billion VND; calling for social support for funding to care for union members and workers is 4,044 billion VND. At the central level, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor spent 282 billion VND; at the provincial, municipal, industry and equivalent levels spent 376 billion VND; at the direct superior level at the grassroots level spent 1,051 billion VND; at the grassroots level spent 2,321 billion VND. Bac Ninh completes peak period of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses

As of February 2025, nearly 100 solid houses have been donated by Bac Ninh province to poor households and people in difficult circumstances. After just over 2 months of simultaneous support, Bac Ninh has basically completed the peak phase of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

To achieve the goal of completely eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, Bac Ninh province has established a Steering Committee, launched the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province", calling on the community to join hands to support and help households in difficult circumstances eliminate temporary, dilapidated and degraded houses. Since the beginning of December 2024, nearly 100 houses have been built and repaired, each case has been supported with 100 million VND, and the repaired house is supported with 50 million VND. Actively encourage overseas Vietnamese in Malaysia to support, unite and share

Recently, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Le Thi Thu Hang led a delegation of the Committee to work on community work in Malaysia.

At the meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia, Ambassador Dinh Ngoc Linh and representatives of the agencies reported on the work situation and the Vietnamese community in the host country. The Vietnamese community in Malaysia has about 30,000 people including workers, students, researchers and a part of brides from multicultural families. (See details)
