On May 21, at the Board of Directors meeting, Bamboo Airways passed a resolution appointing Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai as the company's general director from May 24, after approving the resignation of Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai was Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines before being appointed General Director of Bamboo Airways.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai is a bachelor of the National Economics University, majoring in tourism business management. Notably, Mr. Hai has 25 years of experience in the aviation sector, having held many important positions in Vietnam Airlines Corporation and its member companies, such as Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, General Director of Cambodia Angkor Air, etc.
Previously, his predecessor, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan, submitted his resignation as General Director to the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways. Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan will assume the position of General Director of Bamboo Airways from July 2022. Previously, he held the position of Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways from July 2020 and Permanent Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways from September 2020.
Under the leadership of Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan, Bamboo Airways has achieved many achievements in its operations and business. Despite many difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the airline achieved its highest revenue in history in the second half of 2022. By the end of the first quarter, the airline's fleet operating capacity reached nearly 100%.
According to a representative of Bamboo Airways, the transfer of the position of General Director of Bamboo Airways from Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai is part of the restructuring process of Bamboo Airways, especially in the field of administration and operations, aiming to expand the market and develop sustainably.
The medium-term goal set by Bamboo Airways from 2023 is to strengthen the international flight network, raise service standards, thereby making Bamboo Airways an airline brand of the continent and the world.
