Ba Thuoc with many breakthrough solutions

After more than 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 23rd District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, Ba Thuoc has achieved many outstanding results in all fields, thereby creating rapid and sustainable development.

Secretary of Ba Thuoc District Party Committee Pham Dinh Minh said: After more than 3 years of implementing the congress resolution, the socio-economic situation in the district continues to maintain growth momentum, the economic structure shifts in the right direction, increasing the proportion of industry and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture, the average growth rate of production value is estimated at 3.85%/year. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production is directed towards improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of products. The total output of grain food reaches an average of over 37,800 tons/year (congress resolution 35,000 tons/year). Industrial and construction production grows well; the urbanization rate reaches 9.7%; 100% of villages and hamlets use the national grid. The service and trade sectors have developed, the annual export value reaches 8.5 million USD.

In particular, tourism has been a bright spot in the district's economic development in recent times, especially Pu Luong Tourist Area emerging on the map of eco-tourism and community tourism in Vietnam; the number of tourists coming to the district each year is more than 130,000, with an estimated revenue of 200 billion VND. The mobilization of investment capital for social development averages 1,844 billion VND per year (exceeding the plan assigned by the province). Investment attraction has achieved many positive results. Since the beginning of the term, the district has had 10 direct investment projects of enterprises approved by the province with a total capital of 4,273 billion VND, including many large projects such as: Ba Thuoc Shoe Factory Project in Canh Nang Town; OSBsatBoo Thanh Hoa Bamboo Board Factory in Thiet Ong Commune; Dien Trung Industrial Cluster has started construction and is completing technical infrastructure to attract investors. The work of developing enterprises and cooperatives in the district has received attention and direction from leaders. Up to now, there have been 228 enterprises and 32 cooperatives, creating jobs for thousands of local workers.

The program "Agricultural development associated with the program of building new rural areas and developing tourism" continues to receive attention. In the district, concentrated specialized production areas have been formed; concentrated livestock farming, linked with enterprises. Along with that, the district focuses on developing products with potential and advantages to serve tourism and the market. At the same time, the district also identifies products with potential and advantages for development. The district has more than 1,038 hectares of fruit trees; continues to develop flocks of Co Lung ducks, grass pigs, wild boars, chickens, and doc fish to serve market demand. Up to now, the district has had 10 OCOP products; built a project to grow specialty sticky rice with a scale of 31 hectares; has 2 traditional craft villages recognized.

Along with that, the district has promoted the improvement of the investment and business environment, focusing on administrative procedure reform; actively implemented solutions to improve the district-level competitiveness index. In 2023, the district's DDCI index ranked 13th, up 14 places compared to 2021. The district also fulfilled its commitment to investors on site clearance progress. In addition, the synchronous infrastructure has been strengthened. The district has called on investors to develop socio-economic infrastructure; prioritized budget allocation to invest in important and essential infrastructure works. Among them, many infrastructure works that play an important role in the socio-economic development of the district have been and are being invested, such as: Provincial Road 512B bypass through Doan Pho Market (Lung Niem Commune); Canh Nang Town Center Bridge; embankment to prevent landslides on Ma River bank; traffic routes from the district center to communes...

In the coming time, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Ba Thuoc district will continue to unite, join forces, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, promote the strength of the political system and the entire people to focus on effectively implementing the key tasks and solutions set forth by the Resolution of the 23rd Ba Thuoc District Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
