Apple upgrades iPad Mini, with power from A17 Pro Chip

The A17 Pro chip, also used on the iPhone 15 Pro, brings outstanding performance to the iPad mini 2024. With a 6-core CPU, the device's performance is 30% higher than its predecessor using the A15 Bionic chip.

Not only that, the new 5-core GPU provides up to 25% faster graphics processing, along with a neural processing unit (NPU) that is capable of operating twice as fast, allowing the device to support advanced artificial intelligence features.

Although the design of the iPad mini 2024 has not changed much compared to the previous version, Apple has added two new color options: blue and purple, in addition to white (starlight) and gray. The 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with a maximum brightness of 500 nits is still the highlight, providing a sharp and vivid visual experience.

iPad mini 2024 supports Apple Pencil Pro stylus.

In particular, the iPad mini 2024 is equipped with Apple Intelligence, allowing text processing, object removal from photos, and notification summaries. This system utilizes processing power from both the device and the cloud, to balance performance and privacy. Information said that the Vietnamese language support feature will be updated in 2025.

iPad mini 2024 users can also experience iPadOS 18 with a series of upgrades, including the ability to customize the home screen, a completely new Photos app and a game mode (Game Mode). The product is also compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro stylus, allowing wireless charging via the magnet cluster on the right edge, supporting the USB-C version of Pencil.

The 12 MP rear camera not only supports Smart HDR 4 and 4K video recording but also has AI document recognition, while the 12 MP front camera with Center Stage feature will bring smoother video call experiences.

The iPad mini 2024 starts at VND14 million in Vietnam for 128 GB of storage, double the previous generation. The product still has a 5G version, 256 GB and 512 GB storage options. Apple also introduced a new color series for the Smart Folio accessory such as charcoal gray, light purple... with a price of VND1.7 million.
