App Store honors the father of 'Dragon Ball'

Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragon Ball (Vietnamese: 7 Dragon Balls ) - a comic series associated with the 8x and 9x generations worldwide, was announced to have passed away at the age of 68 on March 1 due to acute subdural hematoma, but it took nearly a week for the whole world to know about his passing. Recently, the App Store for iOS platform has displayed the Editor's Choice section with available software related to the late artist with a short title "Remembering Akira Toriyama".

App Store Editors Suggest Apps Related to Late Artist Akira Toriyama

In the introduction, the App Store editorial board commented that Mr. Arika Toriyama - a beloved Japanese artist who left humanity the gift of adventure.

"His groundbreaking works have captivated comic book fans for decades, from the groundbreaking Dragon Ball manga series that debuted in 1984 to his iconic character designs in the Dragon Quest series. Toriyama has influenced generations of comic book artists, game developers, and others around the globe."

Not only known as the creator of the story of "7 Dragon Balls" that make wishes come true for those who find them, Mr. Akira Toriyama also composed Dr. SLump ( Doctor Slump ), another comic series that is also loved in Vietnam.

According to The Washington Post , after filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, Toriyama is considered the most influential Japanese artist of modern times. His work and talent have brought manga (comics) and anime (animation) into the global mainstream, breaking down the walls that once held back Japanese media. His comic works have been globally acclaimed and have been adapted into animated films, games, and expanded storylines.
