According to The Times of India, at least one person was killed and five others were injured when part of the roof at the main airport in India's capital New Delhi collapsed on the morning of June 28.
The incident occurred at the departure area of Terminal 1 of the Delhi airport at 5 a.m. Heavy rain and strong winds caused the roof to collapse, crushing several cars parked underneath, officials and media said.
Medical staff rushed to treat the injured. Search and rescue operations were underway to ensure that no one was trapped in the crushed vehicles. Flights from the terminal operated by budget airlines IndiGo and SpiceJet were cancelled until 2 p.m.
