Despite difficulties, the Government is determined to achieve a GDP growth target of 8%

The Government has just issued Resolution No. 77/NQ-CP dated April 10, 2025 on the regular Government meeting in March 2025 and the Government's online conference with localities.

Domestically, difficulties and challenges outweigh advantages. Extreme weather events affect agricultural production and electricity supply. Faced with that situation, the Government requires ministries, branches and localities to be steadfast in their growth targets, make efforts to synchronously and drastically implement socio-economic development solutions, and ensure the completion of the set plan targets.

Specifically, the Ministry of Finance will take the lead in assessing the impact of US tax policies, propose support for businesses and workers, and coordinate with localities to review and adjust the GRDP growth scenario, ensuring the 2025 target.
