9,600 Quang Tri candidates take the 10th grade entrance exam to select 9,112 students.

This morning, June 2, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year in Quang Tri began with more than 9,600 candidates participating, including 566 candidates taking the exam for Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted.

According to the Department of Education and Training, the total enrollment target for grade 10 of all public high schools in the province is 9,112. Admission to grade 10 includes 2 rounds: registration to take the exam, then registration for admission after the exam results are available.

Candidates take the exam on a day when the temperature drops to 30 degrees Celsius.

The exam was held at 28 examination councils with more than 420 examination rooms. Of which, the Department of Education and Training mobilized nearly 1,590 officials and teachers to work as invigilators. At the same time, it proactively supervised and closely monitored the candidates during the exam; ensuring that the exam took place safely, transparently and in accordance with regulations.

According to the exam schedule, this morning, June 2, candidates will start with math (90 minutes) and English (60 minutes), and in the afternoon, they will take literature (120 minutes). Tomorrow, June 3, candidates registering for Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted will continue taking specialized subjects.
