8 cars collided in a row, Highway 51 was jammed

On the evening of September 26, the Traffic Police Department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province coordinated with relevant agencies to clarify a series of traffic accidents involving 8 cars that caused a traffic jam on National Highway 51 (section through Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

Accordingly, at around 5:00 p.m. the same day, at the section passing through My Xuan ward, Phu My town, an accident occurred when a container truck moving from Dong Nai to Ba Ria - Vung Tau suddenly collided with a 5-seat electric car and a pickup truck. After the first collision, all three vehicles continued to hit the cars in front, leading to a series of collisions. This collision involved a total of 8 cars.

At the scene, the electric car turned sideways right in front of the container, while the pickup truck was severely damaged in the rear. A series of other cars were also affected, with damage to various parts.

The accident paralyzed traffic on National Highway 51 from Phuoc Thai commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province to My Xuan ward, Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for nearly 5km for many hours.

To minimize traffic congestion, the Traffic Police Department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province Police quickly arrived at the scene to investigate, handle and direct traffic.

According to authorities, there were no casualties in the accident. However, four cars were severely damaged, while the other four were less severely damaged.
