
At the ceremony, 7 units and partners with many contributions to the development of the Vietnamese Olympic movement were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam Olympic Committee. In addition, 11 athletes with excellent achievements in international competitions in 2024 were also honored.
In particular, with outstanding achievements at the 2024 Asian Esports Games (ASIAN Esports Games), 6 Lien Quan Mobile athletes were awarded the title of Grandmaster and 3 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang athletes were recognized as Level 1 athletes.

To date, including the first phase held in Hanoi in January, a total of 48 athletes and coaches have been certified at the national level. Seven units have been honored as special companion partners and 42 other units are partners in the fields of E-Sports, Media, Entertainment Sports Choreography and Digital Physical Sports.
For the first time, VIRESA also awarded 8 noble titles in the field of Entertainment E-Sports and Digital Physical Sports including: Outstanding E-Sports Athlete, Outstanding National E-Sports Team, Outstanding Event, Promising E-Sports Department, Vietnam E-Sports Moment, Outstanding Digital Physical Sports Team, Outstanding International E-Sports Referee, Outstanding National E-Sports Team Head Coach.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Do Viet Hung - Chairman of VIRESA - emphasized: “The ceremony to honor and confer the title of Vietnamese e-sports athletes is an important milestone, showing recognition and honor for individuals and groups who have contributed to the development of the industry. The conferment of titles not only encourages and motivates athletes to compete with all their might, but also contributes to raising the position of Vietnamese e-sports in the international arena, especially when the 33rd SEA Games, the Asian Youth Games and the 20th ASIAD are approaching”.
The 33rd SEA Games is scheduled to be held in Thailand from December 9 to 20, 2025, with 4 eSports disciplines and a total of 6 competitions. In the last 2 SEA Games, Vietnam won a total of 15 medals, including: 5 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 4 Bronze Medals. At the same time, the 20th ASIAD taking place next year is also expected to be an opportunity for Vietnamese eSports to shine and affirm its position on the world eSports map.
