Launching the Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Cultural Center and Library Tran Tuan Anh emphasized that the annual Hanoi Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is a practical activity contributing to the implementation of the Party and State's policy on developing the capital's reading culture.

The contest aims to arouse the passion for reading among students of all ages, through which the contest affirms the role and good values ​​of reading culture in improving the capacity of Vietnamese people, especially in accessing information and knowledge, contributing to improving people's intelligence, developing thinking, creativity, nurturing personality and soul, enhancing awareness of law compliance, forming a healthy lifestyle for the young generation, and promoting the building of a learning society.

According to Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, in 2024, the contest was a great success, attracting over 300,000 entries (articles, video clips, paintings) from students of 1,335 primary, secondary and high schools in the city (an increase of nearly 300% compared to the previous year). Many entries were good, high quality, carefully invested in both form and content, creating an impression and spreading reading culture right from the family, school and community. Not only stopping at building a reading culture, the contest also found typical faces to fan the flames of passion, inspire and spread love for books.

Mr. Tran Tuan Anh said that in 2025, the contest will be widely deployed to schools in the area to build reading habits, raise awareness of reading culture as a premise to build a reading culture in schools and in the community.

The contest also encourages students to continue to promote their passion for reading, share good books, and effective reading methods to ignite a love of reading in the young generation with their aspirations to contribute and their future plans - "ambassadors" to spread the reading culture right from their families, schools, and communities and "With books, enter the era of national growth".

The Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 is for students from grades 1 to 12 studying at primary schools, middle schools, high schools, international schools and other types ofeducation .

Candidates participate by answering questions according to the test set and following the instructions of the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The contest will be held at the district and city levels. The district level will select 50 high-quality entries for the city final round, to be completed before June 20.

The city level will receive entries from June 20 to June 22 at the Hanoi Cultural Center and Library, email tvhnphongtrao@gmail.com. The ceremony to honor the Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador is scheduled for early July.
