Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Director of the Hanoi Center for Creative Activities Coordination Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa said that currently, the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan are in a very good stage of development. People-to-people exchanges between the two countries are increasingly developing strongly with many cooperative and diplomatic activities between organizations and people of the two countries. Vietnam and Japan have many similarities in traditional culture such as: culinary art of tea, calligraphy, traditional crafts...
To better understand those similarities and differences, and at the same time spread the traditional cultural values between the two countries Vietnam and Japan, the Hanoi Creative Activities Coordination Center coordinated with Ms. Otake Miki - President of Sara no Kai Association, the "School of Life - Natural Colors" Club, the Ryoan Tea Ceremony Club of Omotesenke School and some units to organize the workshop "Meeting Spring".

The event offers a unique experiential space where the public has the opportunity to explore and interact with Vietnamese and Japanese artisans. Through this activity, the Center hopes to encourage creative community groups to participate in promoting traditional cultural values, creating creative cultural products, improving cultural and spiritual life, contributing to urban reconstruction, and promoting the image of Hanoi to international friends.
The organizers said that the “Spring Meeting” program has the following activities: Watching performances and participating in the experience of writing Vietnamese - Japanese calligraphy; practicing Origami paper folding - a unique traditional art of Japan under the guidance of paper folding artist Nguyen Nam Son; enjoying traditional Japanese tea ceremony with the guidance of artisan Vu Thi Huyen Trang - Vice Head of Ryoan Tea Ceremony Club, Omotesenke school; exploring and learning about Yen Thai do paper making village...
The program is not only a space for experiencing creative art but also a spiritual bridge between two cultures, contributing to arousing awareness of preserving and promoting folk cultural values.
