6 key areas to implement thrift and combat waste in 2025

In order for the practice of thrift and anti-waste to be carried out effectively and create a strong spread in society, the Provincial People's Committee has issued Decision No. 205/QD-UBND on promulgating the Program of practicing thrift and anti-waste in 2025 of Phu Tho province. In which, 6 key areas are stipulated with many specific targets and solutions.

The practice of thrift and anti-waste in 2025 will be carried out in all areas, mainly focusing on 6 key areas including: Management and use of public assets; regular budget expenditures; use of public investment capital; management, exploitation and use of resources; use of State capital and assets at enterprises; management and use of labor and working time.

The program sets out a number of specific targets for each area such as: In the area of ​​regular budget expenditure, in addition to saving 10% of regular expenditure to create a source for salary reform according to regulations, in the implementation organization, departments, branches and localities strive to save an additional 10% of regular expenditure, increasing the 2025 budget estimate compared to the 2024 budget estimate. At the same time, innovate the management mechanism and financial mechanism of public service units, reduce direct support from the State budget for public service units.

In the management and use of public investment capital, propose solutions to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital and solutions to completely resolve long-standing problems in important and key projects. In the organization of the apparatus, management of labor use and working time, reduce at least 15% - 20% of the organizational units within the Departments, branches and localities; 30% - 35% of the organizational units within the agencies implementing the restructuring and consolidation. The entire political system will reduce at least 5% of the staff and civil servants and at least 10% of the staff receiving salaries from the State budget.
