According to Aboluowang , the following 5 simple and easy-to-apply habits will bring you closer to your goal of longevity.

Eat healthy

Valter Longo, a longevity researcher for 20 years, said “a healthy diet is the most important factor for longevity.”

The Mediterranean diet is the most recommended by longevity experts, encouraging a high intake of vegetables, beans, fruits, nuts, whole grains, and low intake of red and processed meats. Longo also recommends fasting for 12 hours each day, such as eating only between 8am and 8pm and not eating anything else between 8pm and 8am the next morning.

Exercise regularly

Experts recommend that you exercise daily to increase metabolism and improve your body's flexibility. Scientific exercise can increase your chances of living to 90 years old.

Residents in the blue zones (longevity zones) do not exercise intensely, but they still maintain daily exercise. They exercise by walking, tending flowers, and building things with their own hands.

Have faith

Butner interviewed 263 centenarians, most of whom lived in religious communities (258 people). Those who attended church or temple regularly lived 4 to 14 years longer than those who did not follow any religion.

Having a belief or philosophy of life makes people happier, and following a religious or spiritual belief can help find meaning in life, according to Arthur C. Brooks, a happiness researcher at Harvard University.

Maintain positive relationships

An 86-year study conducted by Harvard University found that positive relationships between individuals in life are a factor that increases happiness and prolongs life.

People living in the “Blue Zone” also value their partners and cherish true friends, which is helpful in dealing with people and avoiding bad decisions.

Prioritize life goals and lifelong learning

Okinawa Island in Japan is one of the world's famous green zones. The elderly always prioritize life goals and study, they are busy, feel satisfied every day, and their life is naturally happy.

The way to live longer, as suggested by expert Butner, is to “find a goal for yourself and practice it diligently every day.” Compared to people who lack direction in life, people with a sense of purpose in life can live about 8 years longer.
