Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the afternoon of February 23, Mr. Ha Thanh Hoan - Secretary of the Party Committee of Bao La commune (Moc Chau district, Hoa Binh) - confirmed that four students of Bao La commune Primary and Secondary School had to be hospitalized after drinking soft drinks bought at the school gate.

According to Mr. Hoan, yesterday afternoon, after drinking soft drinks of unknown origin bought at the school gate, four students in grades 4 and 5 showed signs of severe stomach pain and vomiting, suspected of poisoning.

Immediately afterwards, the children were taken to the commune health station for treatment. However, the children showed signs of severe poisoning, so their parents took them to the Mai Chau Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment, then transferred them to the Hoa Binh Provincial General Hospital for treatment.

"By noon today, the children's health condition had stabilized. Mai Chau district authorities have inspected the scene of the incident, taken samples to verify and clarify the cause," Mr. Hoan added.

The leader of the Mai Chau District Department of Education and Training said that the department has directed the school's board of directors to report on the incident and directed the school to visit and encourage the students and their families.
