A MEMORABLE AFTERNOON AT THE MUSEUM
On the afternoon of March 25, Ho Quoc Tin (23 years old, Bachelor of Foreign Economics, University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University) arrived at the hotel 30 minutes early to welcome a team of students from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) to visit Ho Chi Minh City. This was the team's first outside trip since arriving in Ho Chi Minh City. And their first destination was the War Remnants Museum in District 3. "I was really touched. They learned a lot about Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City before the plane landed, and this time they wanted to understand more about Vietnam's history, so they wanted to visit the museum first," said the male volunteer.

"The members of the Nanyang Technological University team are all very punctual, and behave politely both on and off the field. After spending time playing football, the student players still diligently bring their laptops to the milk tea shop near the hotel to study online. During their daily journey, they proactively asked me many things in Vietnam. More than half of the group had traveled to Vietnam, but most had not been to Ho Chi Minh City. They praised the professionalism of the Organizing Committee for helping them have a meaningful tournament, and the thoughtful logistics so that they could have meals that strictly followed the month of Ramadan (11 members of the team from Singapore are Muslims)," Quoc Tin added.
FROM STUDENT PLAYER AT THACO CUP TO INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT TEAM PLAYER
Hean Bunkan (24 years old, Cambodian, final year student of civil engineering, Ton Duc Thang University) is having memorable days as a volunteer of Life University team (Cambodia), his hometown.
Hean Bunkan, number 20, a player from Ton Duc Thang University who participated in the first and second Vietnam Youth Football Tournaments, is currently a volunteer for Life University, Cambodia.
"We always feel warm when the Organizing Committee arranges comfortable hotels, dishes that suit our hometown's taste, and thoughtful transportation to help us have the best physical condition for the tournament," Hean Bunkan recounted what the Cambodian players shared in the past days. This volunteer took the team to visit many places in Ho Chi Minh City such as the City Post Office, Nguyen Hue walking street, buy traditional food, and chat with many Vietnamese and Malaysian friends. He was also an interpreter, exchanging the team's opinions with the Organizing Committee so that all issues could be resolved as quickly as possible.
Interestingly, Hean Bunkan is also the player chosen by coach Nguyen Dinh Long to play for Ton Duc Thang University in the 1st - 2023 and 2nd - 2024 Vietnamese Youth Football Championship.
SILENT CONTRIBUTION
At the tournament, there was a Laotian boy who made an effort to contribute to the overall success, that was Suliyavongsak Kethsana, a student of General Medicine, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. For the first time working as a volunteer translator and logistical supporter at an international tournament, the general medicine student was happy to contribute to his hometown Lao University football team, while also satisfying his passion for football. "I was very stressed and worried before the day of my mission. Luckily, I also received support from the tournament organizers and Lao players," Suliyavongsak Kethsana expressed.

Also working alongside the Malaysian University team, helping the team with many logistical issues to balance between strict discipline during Ramadan and competitive performance (100% of the Malaysian team members are Muslims), is Dong Nguyen Khang, 30 years old, a student majoring in Sports Economics at Hoa Sen University.
Good at English, knowledgeable about sports in general and football in particular, Dong Nguyen Khang did not encounter any difficulties during his time as a volunteer. Recently, Khang took the football team from Malaysia to visit Ben Thanh market - one of the iconic buildings of Ho Chi Minh City, or took the players to a restaurant specializing in serving Muslim dishes on Nguyen An Ninh street, District 1, introducing the other team to many things about Vietnam...
"The Malaysian players praised the professionalism of the tournament's organizers. For example, from the time the team landed on the plane to the time they entered the country and got on the bus to the hotel, it only took 10-15 minutes. Or when the team had feedback about wanting to eat in a separate area with specially prepared dishes, complying with Islamic regulations, the organizers also responded very quickly," Khang quoted the players. "The Malaysian side seriously invested in the 2025 International TNSV. All information, images, and videos of this tournament were updated on the team's official fanpage called "UITM United", so that fans could easily follow from home," Khang shared.
