The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a telegram to relevant units in the aviation industry to proactively respond to storm YINXING.
The airports forecasted to be in the direct impact area of storm YINXING include Phu Bai International Airport, Da Nang International Airport, Chu Lai Airport. In addition to the 3 airports in the direct impact area of storm YINXING, 4 other airports including: Dong Hoi, Phu Cat, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa need to proactively update information in case the storm has unusual developments.

To proactively respond to storm Yinxing, the Civil Aviation Authority requires agencies and units to organize 24/7 duty according to regulations and strictly implement the storm and tropical depression response procedures in civil aviation activities.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to direct aviation meteorological service providers to strengthen the work of ensuring the quality of meteorological information, closely monitor the weather situation in the management area, and update forecast and warning bulletins (providing complete and prompt observation, forecast and warning information to users).
Units affected by the storm, airlines, and flight operations service providers should closely monitor the developments and situation of the storm to promptly adjust flight plans or change flight schedules accordingly in areas directly affected by the storm and ensure flight safety.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also requested airports to closely monitor the response to storm No. 7, ensure smooth communication with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam's Search and Rescue Command Committee and relevant agencies and units within their scope of responsibility to respond in all situations.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the eye of the storm is located at about 18.3 degrees North latitude; 118.9 degrees East longitude, in the eastern sea of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the eye of the storm is level 13-14 (134-166 km/h), gusting to level 17. The storm is moving in a West-Southwest direction, at a speed of about 15 km/h.
