EVNCPC: Commercial electricity output grows more than 8%/year

Presenting the political report of the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Binh Nam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Power Corporation, said that in the past term, the Party Committee of the Corporation promptly issued 216 resolutions, 9 directives, 25 programs, 56 plans, 620 decisions and more than 3,000 documents to orient, lead and organize the comprehensive implementation of tasks. Thanks to that, the entire EVNCPC has strived to complete most of the targets according to the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress.

In Party building work, EVNCPC Party Committee completed and exceeded all 6/6 targets. The rate of grassroots party organizations completing their tasks well on average reached 94.29%/year; no organization failed to complete its tasks. The average number of party members participating in activities was 99.3%; the rate of completing tasks well was 98.67%. During the entire term, no party members who violated the law were disciplined; 156 new party members were admitted, reaching 104% of the plan.

Regarding the implementation of political tasks, EVNCPC completed and exceeded 10/11 targets. Commercial electricity output grew by an average of 8.01%/year, higher than the set target (≥6%/year); power loss and 110kV grid incidents decreased sharply; electricity savings exceeded the target of 2% per year; power supply reliability was significantly improved. It is expected that in 2025, EVNCPC's profit will reach over 3%/equity. Hydropower joint stock companies invested by EVNCPC have an average dividend rate of 24.44%, more than three times higher than the target of 7%/year. Annual labor productivity always meets and exceeds the plan assigned by EVN.

In the period 2020-2024, 2,511 projects were completed, an average of 502 projects/year; 74 projects were started and 77 110kV projects were energized; the total investment capital was 29,920 billion VND. The 2025 plan is to start 13 projects, energize 20 110kV projects with a net investment value of 3,535.3 billion VND.

In addition to its political tasks, EVNCPC actively carries out meaningful social security activities. From 2020 to present, EVNCPC has contributed and supported social security projects and activities with a total value of VND 115,588 billion (of which VND 15.92 billion was used to build and donate 291 gratitude houses to help families in difficult circumstances).

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) emphasized that over the past 5 years, the EVNCPC Party Committee has successfully completed the tasks assigned by the EVN Party Committee, demonstrated through the construction of political reports closely following the orientation, synchronous in choosing breakthroughs, goals and tasks. This is an important foundation for the development of the Corporation in the coming period.

The EVN General Director noted that in the context that the country is implementing many major policies such as rearranging and reorganizing the administrative apparatus at all levels, promoting economic growth with the target of 8% by 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years... there is a requirement to meet the electricity demand for the country's development, so electricity units, including EVNCPC, need to proactively adapt.

"After the Congress, the Corporation needs to promptly organize an assessment and analysis to build a roadmap suitable for each stage. In the key tasks, it is necessary to emphasize the comprehensive leadership role of Party building work, while perfecting the system of solutions associated with specific groups of indicators for each field. Determining the target of commercial electricity growth must also be based on the socio-economic development orientation of each locality in the Central Highlands region to have a realistic and timely electricity supply plan," Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan requested.

Receiving the opinions of EVN leaders, Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Party Secretary, Chairman of EVNCPC Board of Directors, said that the Party Committee of the Corporation will continue to promote its leadership role, strive to effectively implement the goals registered with EVN. At the same time, proactively review and adjust contents that are not suitable to reality, update new requirements to complete the Action Program, as a guideline for implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress.

"The EVNCPC Party Executive Committee, term XV, 2025-2030, will promote the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and drastic actions to successfully implement the Congress Resolution; build a clean and strong EVNCPC Party Committee, lead the Corporation to develop sustainably and effectively, and make positive contributions to the development of the electricity industry and the country", affirmed the EVNCPC Party Secretary.

In the spirit of democracy, the Congress elected the 15th EVNCPC Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 24 comrades, ensuring standards, structure, and succession; the first meeting of the Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee of 6 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Thanh continued to be trusted to hold the position of Party Secretary; comrades Ngo Tan Cu and Nguyen Binh Nam were elected as Deputy Secretaries.
