These scholarships will support 100 poor new students from Quang Nam in the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The reception took place at the Tuoi Tre newspaper office.
Tuoi Tre Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Le The Chu received the first contribution to the newspaper's Tiep Suc Den Truong scholarship program this year.
Mr. Pham Phu Tam, head of the Quang Nam - Da Nang School Relay Club, confided that although club members are facing difficulties in many aspects, the number of scholarships will remain unchanged compared to previous years.
Mr. Tam likened the club to a relay station on a racetrack and each scholarship to a bottle of water given to student "athletes" at the right time and place.
"If we don't provide timely support, I think some students might have to stop studying and not be able to go to school," Mr. Tam worried.

Mr. Tam happily shared that up to now, the club, through Tuoi Tre newspaper, has supported 2,194 poor new students with a total scholarship amount of more than 23 billion VND.
In addition to supporting scholarships, many club members also adopt, support living expenses, transportation, jobs, etc. for new students living far from home who receive scholarships from the program.
This year, 1.5 billion VND is equivalent to 100 scholarships (15 million VND/scholarship), with priority given to poor new students in Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province. The scholarship award ceremony is expected to be held in September in Hoi An City (Quang Nam Province).
