According to the report of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, the province is currently developing a plan to arrange accommodation and transportation for about 768 officials, civil servants and public employees from the two neighboring provinces. Specifically, the locality plans to use public facilities such as social housing, dormitories, old headquarters and schools that are no longer in use to renovate into accommodation. It is expected that 328 rooms will be arranged, enough to meet the essential living needs of this force of officials.

At the same time, the locality will also organize daily transportation from residence to workplace for officials, civil servants and public employees. This is one of the important policies to create favorable conditions for the staff to work with peace of mind, contributing to ensuring the effective operation of the administrative apparatus in the transition period after the merger.
According to the draft project, in the first phase after the merger, all existing staff of the three localities will be maintained and transferred to the corresponding agencies and organizations of the new province. The merger is expected to contribute to streamlining the apparatus, improving the effectiveness of state management and promoting socio-economic development of the whole region.

The political and administrative center of the new province will be located in Vinh Long City.
In the coming time, the Provincial People's Council after the merger will consider and issue specific policies and mechanisms, including support for housing and travel, ensuring the lives of cadres who need to stay long-term in the locality.
The proactive preparation of organizational structure, facilities, and policies for cadres, civil servants, and public employees is a testament to Vinh Long province's determination to effectively implement the Party and State's major policies on administrative reform and reorganization of provincial-level administrative units in the current period.
