1,653 drones combine light show at 10th Sea Festival

On May 25, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a press conference on Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023.

According to the organizers, 2023 will be the 10th time the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival is held with the theme "Khanh Hoa - Aspiration for Development". This year's Sea Festival will take place from June 3-6 with 71 programs and activities before, during and after the official time of the Sea Festival taking place in Nha Trang City and several other localities.

The main program is held every night at 2/4 Square, Nha Trang City, including the opening ceremony of the 2023 Sea Festival with the theme "Khanh Hoa - Bright Aspiration"; the art program, fashion show "Khanh Hoa - Connecting Love"; the World Music Festival program "Ocean Echoes" and the closing ceremony of the 2023 Sea Festival with the theme "Khanh Hoa - Solidarity towards the future".

In addition, there are many other activities and events such as the fishing festival, the street lion and dragon dance festival, the bicycle parade “Protecting the green – clean – beautiful Nha Trang Bay environment, sustainable development”, the game “Singing and singing Bai Choi”, the Ao Dai festival…

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Khanh Hoa province, in addition to the main programs, this year's Sea Festival has many anticipated activities such as the competition of swimming and shaking baskets; fishing, releasing and regenerating aquatic resources; 370 elderly people will perform health exercises at 2/4 Square...

Mr. Thien said that in order to prepare well for the 2023 Sea Festival Program, Khanh Hoa province has strengthened State management in related fields. At the same time, it has proactively directed the promotion of urban beautification, investment in infrastructure development, upgrading tourism facilities; directed the assurance of security and order, social safety, food safety and hygiene, and especially disease prevention and control for each activity and event.

At the press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Department of Tourism, said that on the opening night of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, instead of fireworks, there will be an international art light show festival Ever - Glamour Nha Trang 2023.

“This is an artistic light show of 1,653 drones with the meaning that the year 1,653 is considered the starting point for the formation and development of Khanh Hoa province today.

The flying devices will participate in the performance combined with 12-14 scenes including images of swallows flying in the sky, sea creatures; the scenery of Mui Doi - Hon Dau in Van Ninh district; the image of Cai River flowing into the East Sea; a fleet of boats sailing out to sea; Dien Khanh Citadel, Ponagar Tower, Tram Huong Tower...

All are performed on the background music, mixed and arranged according to local musical materials to recreate the stories of history, culture, regions, land and people of Khanh Hoa through the language of light to create vivid images in the sky at 2/4 Square on the opening night. And the greeting ends the program with the big words "Khanh Hoa - Aspiration for development", Ms. Thanh informed.

Within the framework of the Nha Trang Sea Festival 2023, Khanh Hoa tourism industry will implement many response activities such as organizing an Australian Famtrip delegation to learn and survey tourism products and services, promoting and expanding cooperation in Khanh Hoa province; organizing a program to link and develop Vietnam's tourism brand through cinema; Nha Trang paragliding festival 2023; culinary festival; promotional activities, launching tourism markets to attract tourists...

In addition, the Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, the Association of Travel Enterprises welcoming Chinese tourists and tourism enterprises in the province have also implemented many stimulus programs, discount combos, promotions, and new tours to attract and serve tourists to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.

Ms. Thanh said that the whole province has 1,170 accommodation establishments with more than 55,000 rooms, of which over 50% are 3-star hotels or higher. With such a large number of rooms, the province can fully meet the needs of visitors to the province during this Sea Festival.

Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023 said that this Sea Festival is more special than previous ones because this is the 10th anniversary of the Sea Festival. In addition, this year's Festival is held at a time when Khanh Hoa province is implementing Resolution 09 of the Politburo on building and developing the province until 2030, with a vision to 2045; celebrating 370 years of building and developing the province.

According to Mr. Thieu, the art programs organized are larger in scale and more current in development trends than previous periods. In particular, the opening program will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV), the remaining 3 nights will be broadcast live on Khanh Hoa Radio and Television (KTV).
