According to the reporter of Giao thong Newspaper, on December 27 (January 26), the construction site of the project to renovate Thuy Van and Bai Sau Vung Tau roads (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) was still bustling with motorbikes, equipment and personnel working hard during Tet.
Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company still organizes for about 100 engineers and workers along with many motorbikes and equipment to stay at the construction site, working through Tet.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nam, Deputy Project Manager, said that during Tet this year, the unit will arrange work, prepare the site, deploy iron making and some items so that after the holiday, the construction progress can continue to be accelerated. Workers who work during Tet will be supported with additional food and accommodation costs.
In particular, to help engineers and workers still enjoy the New Year as if they were at home, the company also organizes many activities for workers to participate in New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve programs right at the construction site.
On the construction site, groups of workers spread out in many areas to coordinate iron making, digging, and raking.
As for Thuy Van Street, the asphalt surface has been completed, returning a beautiful surface for the coastal city of Vung Tau to welcome spring visitors and beachgoers during Tet. At the same time, ensuring safe travel for people.
Mr. Nam also said that the project to expand Thuy Van Street was urgently deployed and completed ahead of schedule.
In addition to working during the day, workers also work at night to speed up progress.
It is known that a week before Tet, this company also organized a Tet construction program with the participation of about 400 workers.
Participating in the program, workers received free medical examination and treatment. In addition, they participated in cultural activities, lucky draws and received Tet gifts. Each person received a gift worth 350,000 VND.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Thuy, Vice Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee, said that the locality has requested investors and contractors to ensure construction progress while focusing on labor safety and welfare so that workers can work in the best conditions.
The Thuy Van road renovation project, with a total investment of more than VND 1,094 billion, started in 2024 and is expected to be completed before April 30, 2025.
Coteccons is striving to finish the project earlier, on April 21, 2025. To achieve this goal, Coteccons has also planned to recruit 800-1,000 more workers, ensuring abundant human resources for the final stage.
