Ho Chi Minh City: A wood production facility located in a residential area in Hoc Mon district caught fire fiercely, more than 50 soldiers tried to put out the fire on the evening of October 22.

After 10 p.m., smoke and fire broke out from a 2,000-square-meter furniture workshop on Pham Van Sang Street, Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune. At that time, the facility was closed, and many people nearby used mini fire extinguishers and water hoses to put out the fire, but were unsuccessful.
The fire engulfed the entire factory, forcing some nearby residents to evacuate for fear of the fire spreading. Black smoke billowed into the residential area. "The fire was accompanied by loud explosions like bombs, forcing my whole family to flee," said Mr. Hoang, who lives next to the factory.

Many fire trucks and more than 50 firefighters arrived at the scene. Firefighters used hoses in many directions to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading. The entire area was cut off from electricity. By 11:30 p.m., the fire was basically under control. The fire did not cause any casualties, but it burned down a lot of goods and machinery.
