The book "National value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards in the new period" is an affirmation that the research, construction and implementation of these value systems have a very important role and significance to promote cultural values and the strength of Vietnamese people in building and defending the Fatherland, developing a prosperous and happy country in the coming period.
The Truth National Political Publishing House has just published the book "National Value System, Cultural Value System, Family Value System and Vietnamese Human Standards in the New Era". The book was first published in 2022, the second time in 2023. In this publication, the Truth National Political Publishing House retains the positions and working agencies of the comrades in the Steering Committee for content compilation as well as the authors of the articles at the time of the Workshop (November 29, 2022).
Building a system of national values, a system of cultural values, a system of family values and standards for Vietnamese people is an important issue that has been mentioned and affirmed many times by the Party and Uncle Ho, and has been continued, supplemented and perfected in documents, resolutions, etc.
By the 13th National Congress of the Party (2021), the construction of the above value systems and standards has been raised to a new level of awareness, considered a central and fundamental task in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people, contributing to creating a solid foundation for culture to truly become the spiritual foundation of society, an important endogenous resource of the country on the path of rapid and sustainable development.
However, how to make these value systems permeate and become natural in people's daily lives is not an easy task that can be done overnight, but requires the participation of the entire political system with synchronous solutions and especially must be persistent, serious, and implemented regularly and continuously.
Implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, thoroughly grasping the direction of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on November 24, 2021: "Promoting the cultural values, strength and dedication of all Vietnamese people, creating endogenous resources and breakthrough motivation to successfully implement the country's development goals by 2025, 2030, vision 2045", the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with the Central Theoretical Council, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to organize the National Workshop "National value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards in the new period".
The workshop is not only an opportunity to continue affirming the importance of the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards in the new era, but also contributes to clarifying and developing cultural connotations, creating a premise for effectively and creatively implementing the task of building and promoting cultural values and the strength of Vietnamese people, meeting the requirements of sustainable national development.
Based on more than 80 articles submitted by representatives of departments, ministries, branches, localities, a number of academies, universities, research institutes, and many dedicated scientists to participate in the Conference, the National Political Publishing House Truth has selected and published them into a book of the same name.
The book consists of 5 parts: Human values and standards; Family values; Cultural values; National values; General issues.
The articles in the book focus on analyzing, discussing, and clarifying the national value system, cultural value system, family value system, and Vietnamese human standards; and the dialectical relationship between these value systems.
With diverse and rich contents such as: "The urgency and requirement of building a national value system, a cultural value system, a family value system and Vietnamese human standards in the new period"; "Building a Vietnamese human value system in the current period", "On the issue of building Vietnamese human standards"; "Building a current Vietnamese human standard system to put into practice"; "Building a progressive Vietnamese family in the new period: current situation and issues that need attention"; “Building the Vietnamese family value system in the new situation”,... the book is the result of theoretical research, summarizing the practices of the Party, the State, political and social organizations, as well as the concerns, thoughts and contributions of a large number of scientists, artists, cadres, party members and our people on the implementation of building the national value system, the cultural value system and Vietnamese human standards associated with preserving and developing the Vietnamese family value system in the new period...
