Working with the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province on the afternoon of January 13, General Secretary To Lam agreed with the proposal that Bac Ninh province focus on mobilizing resources to become a centrally-run city.
At the working session this afternoon, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Bac Ninh has a proud history, cultural and revolutionary traditions. The province has many advantages such as patriotic people, wholeheartedly following the Party, political security, social order and safety are maintained, the climate is mild, and it is close to the capital Hanoi.
That is the solid foundation for 28 years after the province's re-establishment, Bac Ninh has strived to innovate with the country, achieving many great achievements in many fields.

With the spirit of solidarity, innovation and creativity, Bac Ninh has constantly strived to rise up, for many years being in the top of the country in economic development indicators; paying attention to healthcare, education, social security policies...
The General Secretary acknowledged, congratulated and commended the efforts and achievements that Bac Ninh province has achieved in recent times, especially in 2024.
The General Secretary also appreciated Bac Ninh's proactive spirit in effectively implementing digital transformation; planning the project to build a road from Gia Binh airport to Hanoi capital; requesting the province to study and develop an underground transport system associated with modern urban areas, creating momentum for local economic development and regional connectivity; promoting the development of commercial centers, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, contributing to building the locality into a livable place.
General Secretary To Lam agreed with the proposal that Bac Ninh province focus on mobilizing resources, quickly completing and consolidating the criteria for building the province into a centrally-run city associated with the urban government building model; expanding commercial activities of Gia Binh airport; and promoting the mass movement of digital transformation.
In the coming time, General Secretary To Lam requested that local Party committees and authorities proactively innovate leadership methods, closely follow the Party's directives and resolutions, promote values for development; streamline organizational apparatus, aiming to build urban government; maintain stable economic growth in all fields, harmoniously combine foreign investment attraction with domestic economy; focus on developing high-quality human resources; pay attention to planning work to lead economic development.
General Secretary To Lam wished the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province a warm and happy Lunar New Year; promoting the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, self-reliance and self-reliance to build a prosperous and growing province.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan respectfully thanked and seriously accepted the direction of General Secretary To Lam to include in the political report of the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The province will focus on reviewing regional planning associated with new spaces based on the use of Gia Binh airport and connecting this airport with the capital Hanoi, creating new spaces and development space for the province commensurate with the scale and stature of a centrally-run city.
Also on the afternoon of January 13, at Amkor Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, Yen Phong district, General Secretary To Lam met and wished a Happy New Year to workers of Bac Ninh province.
General Secretary To Lam presented 300 gifts to workers in Bac Ninh province, including 45 gifts to workers of Amkor Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park.
