The Government decided to determine the administrative boundaries between Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city left by history as follows:
1. The boundary line between Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city in the area of Hai Van mountain and Son Cha island bordering Lang Co town, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province and Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city lies on 2 pieces of the VN-2000 national coordinate system topographic map, scale 1:10,000 established by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2009, with the codes E-49-85-Cb-1 and E-49-85-Cb-2; the boundary line is determined from the peak of 691.5m (the boundary point agreed upon by the 2 provinces and cities), in the general direction of the Northeast, the boundary line follows the mountain ridge, through the peaks of 241.4m; 341.8m; 360.5m to the peak of 295.3m; Turning East - Southeast, then turning East - Northeast, the boundary line follows the mountain ridge, passing through the peaks of 253.9m; 207.2m; 196.0m; 246.7m; 256.3m; 257.8m; 256.3m and continues following the mountain ridge to Cua Khem cape, out to the East Sea.
2. Hon Son Cha is managed by Da Nang City.
The Government assigns the Ministry of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to guide the implementation of this Resolution; monitor, inspect, synthesize and report to the Government and the Prime Minister on the implementation results.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies and the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and the People's Committee of Da Nang city, based on this Resolution, to specifically determine the boundary lines in the field and transfer them to the administrative boundary map of the national coordinate system VN-2000 for management.
Based on the administrative unit boundaries determined in the field and on the map, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and the People's Committee of Da Nang city shall carry out the handover of administrative management in all aspects related to the area demarcated in this Resolution.
The People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city are responsible for directing and organizing the implementation of the Resolution; adjusting the natural area data of the two localities in accordance with the administrative unit boundary lines in this Resolution; propagating, mobilizing, persuading, creating high unity in the political system and consensus and support of the people in the process of implementing the Resolution.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, and the People's Committee of Da Nang city will complete the determination of administrative boundaries in the Hai Van mountain area and Son Cha island in the fourth quarter of 2024.
This Resolution comes into force from the date of signing (September 18, 2024).
