Sharing after enjoying the panto Beauty and the beast , a parent (HCMC) confided: "Not only did the children find it interesting, but the parents also enjoyed it very much. This can be said to be a valuable opportunity for children to experience a unique form of performance."

Although performed in English, most people said that the play was engaging and easy to understand. Parents also appreciated that this work helped children to be more confident in communicating with actors in particular and friends in general. In addition, the profound lesson about loving from the heart was also clearly expressed.

The lighting design is closely coordinated with hand-painted fabric layers to create a 3D effect on stage that requires high precision in every light and dark point.

In terms of quality, many audiences consider this a magnificent performance, with investment in setting, costumes, sound, lighting... thereby attracting children. This is not easy to achieve, especially in the age of smartphones and technology that easily makes children distance themselves from real life and see everything through "virtual" eyes.

All props and stage equipment (even small details like candlesticks and light bulbs) were brought all the way from England, to ensure consistent quality with the British versions.

The actors’ abilities were also highly appreciated by the audience, especially Princess Bella and the witch character. In addition to their impressive performances, the combination with indigenous elements, such as wearing conical hats, also brought about unexpected and interesting moments.

To get used to the stage and theater space, the entire crew also made a specific plan for on-site practice, including a 3-day trial run before the official performance and adjustments based on feedback received from Vietnam.

The monster character wearing a conical hat leaves a lot of excitement for the audience.

But the most memorable moments were when the children could not sit still and were encouraged to come closer to the stage to interact with the actors. To do that, the crews of the two countries spent a lot of time discussing and researching suitable changes. The British team also organized many rehearsals and interacted with many students at schools to observe the reactions of the children, from which they made appropriate adjustments.

Brought to Vietnam, the interactive questions in this play have been presented in a simple, easy-to-understand way so that any child can answer. In addition, the focus on body language has also helped to increase the expressiveness of the characters as well as create a more vibrant atmosphere.

It can be said that the panto Beauty and the beast has brought extremely exciting moments, as well as more or less success in introducing a traditional British form of entertainment in Vietnam, thereby inspiring more confidence, boldness and integration of children.
