VNDIRECT informs about website being attacked

VNDIRECT Securities Joint Stock Company (VND) officially informs about the incident of VND's online trading system on March 25, 2024.

Specifically, at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024, VNDIRECT's entire system was attacked by an international organization, resulting in the entire VNDIRECT trading platform being temporarily inaccessible. VNDIRECT's technology team has made every effort to restore it, but due to the large data infrastructure, it will take more time to connect.

"Currently, there are many groups taking advantage of this opportunity to spread unfavorable rumors affecting the market and vndirect. We would like to inform you that this is just an attack incident and has been resolved. We are committed to doing our best to put the transaction into operation as soon as possible. All customer information, assets deposited at the Securities Commission and investment money are safe and unaffected. The incident only affects transactions," VNDIRECT affirmed.

The company is making every effort to restore the entire transaction system so as not to disrupt customer transactions today.

Currently, the company is also working with partners who are leading technology corporations in Vietnam, as well as coordinating with PA05 and A05 to ensure prevention of incidents similar to VNDIRECT for market safety.

Current status of VNDIRECT website.

In April 2022, a similar incident also occurred with VNDIRECT. At that time, a series of investors were unable to access the website and price list of VNDirect on both PC and mobile devices for a very rare reason: "The domain name has expired".

In the stock market, VNDirect is currently the securities company with the third largest market share on the floor with 7.01%, behind VPS Securities JSC and SSI Securities JSC with market shares of 19.06% and 10.44% respectively .
