Tan Hung commune meets the criteria of a model new rural area in production.

The provincial NTM appraisal team inspected the actual models.

The provincial NTM appraisal delegation led by comrade Le Van Dong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, together with representatives of provincial departments and branches, recently had a working session to inspect and appraise the implementation of model NTM commune criteria in production in Tan Hung commune, Tieu Can district. Comrade Nguyen Van Hung, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Le Chi Thao, Vice Chairman of the Tieu Can District People's Committee and members of the district and commune Steering Committees attended.

The provincial appraisal delegation surveyed the actual implementation of the model NTM criteria on production in Tan Hung commune: the production and business activities of agricultural cooperatives; agricultural production areas according to the value chain, with automatic irrigation systems in the circular direction, applying high technology; OCOP product production model; waste treatment of households, agencies, schools and rural traffic systems, associated with bright - green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape.

Tan Hung commune was recognized as meeting advanced NTM standards at the end of 2019. Since then, Tan Hung has continued to complete the improvement of 19/19 criteria for advanced NTM communes according to the set of criteria for the period 2021 - 2025, in conjunction with focusing on implementing the criteria for model NTM communes in production. In the period 2020 - 2024, Tan Hung commune mobilized investment resources of nearly 124 billion VND to build model NTM communes; of which, enterprises and people contributed nearly 14 billion VND.

Through the self-assessment results at the end of 2024, Tan Hung commune has achieved 4/4 criteria of a model new-style rural commune. Typical examples include the smart hamlet model, a high-tech seedless lemon growing model, an area of ​​3.45 hectares with an automatic irrigation system installed to carry out care steps (automatic irrigation, spraying, microbial fertilizer irrigation...) with product consumption linkage.

Production criteria: having an economic model of organic coconut cultivation applying high technology, area of ​​62.1ha, with linkage according to value chain, product consumption; growing high-quality rice in an organic direction with low emissions, with an area gradually increasing from 10 - 50ha, with linkage according to value chain, product consumption; building 02 agricultural cooperatives to carry out activities of supplying agricultural input materials, consuming output products, using digital platforms to manage finances, issue electronic invoices, trace origin; concentrated raw material production area with an area of ​​193ha, thereby building 03 products recognized as meeting 4-star OCOP standards (Rach Lop Tan Hung Rice, Rach Lop Tieu Can Rice, Rach Lop Tra Vinh Rice) sold through e-commerce channels.

Regarding the environmental landscape criterion, the collection and treatment of domestic solid waste and non-hazardous solid waste reached over 98%. Regarding the digital transformation criterion, Tan Hung commune has completed the operation of the one-stop department, received and returned results at the one-stop department and applied the form of online administrative procedure settlement to reach level 4, and electronic public administrative services to reach level 5.

Notably, in the commune, 100% of companies and enterprises apply digital financial management platforms to serve production and business activities... Through the implementation results of the criteria, it has contributed to raising the average income per capita in the commune from 72 million VND at the time of recognition as an advanced new rural area (in 2019) to more than 85.5 million VND/person by the end of 2024.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Le Van Dong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, agreed and highly appreciated the results of implementing the model NTM criteria on production that Tan Hung commune has achieved; at the same time, requested the Steering Committee of Tan Hung commune to urgently complete the dossier and send it to the standing agency of the province before April 15 as a basis for proposing the Provincial Steering Committee to issue a decision to recognize Tan Hung commune as meeting the model NTM standards on production in 2024.
