Vinh Phuc exempts tuition fees for the 2024 school year

On the afternoon of October 18, the 17th term People's Council of Vinh Phuc province discussed and voted to pass 6 resolutions, including a resolution to support tuition fees for preschool children, high school students, and students studying the Continuing Education program at the high school level in the 2024-2025 school year. Vinh Phuc is the 9th province in the country to exempt tuition fees for preschool children and high school students.

The People's Council of Vinh Phuc province has passed a resolution to support tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool children and students in the province.

Tuition support beneficiaries include both preschool children and private high school students.

For preschool children studying at preschools, general education students and students studying the high school continuing education program at public educational institutions who are subject to tuition fees, 100% of the tuition fees payable for the 2024-2025 school year will be supported according to the provisions of Resolution No. 08/2024/NQ-HDND dated July 11 of the People's Council stipulating tuition fees for public educational institutions in Vinh Phuc province from the 2024-2025 school year.

Preschool children studying at non-public preschool educational institutions licensed to operate by competent authorities; primary school students studying at non-public educational institutions are supported at the same level as preschool children; primary school students studying at public educational institutions of the same level and region are subject to tuition fees as public schools.

The support period is the actual number of school months in the 2024-2025 school year, but not more than 9 months. The funding source for implementing the resolution is from the provincial budget.

It is known that the total budget to support 100% of tuition fees for preschool children, primary school students at public and non-public primary, middle and high schools, and students studying continuing education programs in the province in the 2024-2025 school year is expected to be about 142 billion VND.

From the following school years, Vinh Phuc will continue to support tuition fees for preschool children, high school students, and students studying the regular high school education program in the province according to the new tuition fee framework and stabilize the budget for the period 2025 - 2028.
