Vinh Phuc announces reference exam questions for the third subject in grade 10

(Dan Tri) - The Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc has just announced sample exam questions for subjects in the combined exam, entrance exam for non-specialized high school grade 10 from the 2025-2026 school year.

Sample exam questions for combined subjects for non-specialized grade 10 entrance exam in the 2024-2025 school year in Vinh Phuc province:

1. Physics

2. Chemistry

3. Biology

4. History

5. Geography

6. English

The exam questions announced by the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training include the following subjects: Natural Sciences (including physics, chemistry, and biology); History and Geography (history and geography) and English.

The sample test for the subjects in the combined test consists of multiple-choice questions with four options, of which only one is correct. The test time will be announced in the admission instructions.

The Department of Education and Training requested heads of units to implement this in teaching and organizing review sessions for students preparing for the entrance exam to non-specialized grade 10 high schools from the 2025-2026 school year.

According to the Department's leaders, the exam questions do not challenge students, the level of basic knowledge is within the scope of the 2018 general education program for secondary schools, mainly in the 9th grade program, but still ensures differentiation to select students for non-specialized high schools with high competition rates.

According to the Head of the Department of Examination and Education Quality Management, Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training, the announcement of the scope of knowledge and sample test questions for subjects in the combined exam as above aims to provide early guidance for students.

If the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that the third exam is a combination, the Department of Education and Training already has the knowledge scope and reference questions for each component subject in the exam. For example, in natural science, you can choose physics, chemistry, or biology; in history and geography, you can choose history or geography.

"The Department cannot yet announce the specific duration of the third exam, but only the scope of knowledge and sample exam questions for each component subject in the combined exam because there is no official document from the Ministry of Education and Training.

If the Ministry finalizes the combined exam plan, the components of each subject will be within the scope of knowledge as illustrated by the Department," said the Head of the Examination and Quality Management Department of the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training.

Previously, at the end of November, the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc announced the structure, format, capacity table and thinking level, and reference questions for two subjects: math and literature.

Based on these reference exam questions, units will implement teaching and organize review sessions for students preparing for the entrance exam to non-specialized high schools from the 2025-2026 school year.
