Attending the ceremony were members of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee: General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Party Central Committee member, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Outstanding Young Face and Promising Young Face of the Army are titles voted and honored annually.

This is a noble award given to cadres, union members, and youth with outstanding and outstanding achievements in fields of work such as training, combat readiness and combat; study, scientific research; labor, production and business; culture, literature, arts, journalism; sports... and other fields.

The commendation activities aim to recognize, encourage and honor exemplary examples of the youth of the entire army; create motivation for cadres, union members and young people to constantly strive and mature; promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, to shine the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era; be proactive and creative in completing all tasks excellently, contributing to building an excellent strong Youth Union organization, a comprehensively strong "exemplary and typical" agency and unit, a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, organization and cadres.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang congratulated the 10 Outstanding Young Faces and 60 Promising Young Faces of the entire army who were honored on this occasion.

The Minister of National Defense expressed his delight at the fact that in 2024, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the Army will be comprehensively implemented, with the content and forms of activities constantly being innovated, creative and effective.

The youth of the entire army have promoted their pioneering role in all areas of work, especially new, difficult, important, and unexpected tasks, achieving many outstanding achievements.

In the overall achievements of the entire army in 2024, there is a significant contribution from the Army's youth - a large, core, proactive, creative force, taking the lead in carrying out all tasks of the Army.

“From practical activities, many outstanding models, examples of good people, good deeds, with high influence, are very admirable and respected. Many typical examples of young people in the Army have not been afraid of difficulties, hardships, sacrifices, always present on the front lines, in important places to protect the country, protect the people, take the lead in helping people eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters,” General Phan Van Giang emphasized.

Highly appreciating the work of building and expanding advanced models in the Army and the activities of voting and honoring Outstanding Young Faces at all levels in the entire Army, General Phan Van Giang assessed that this is a meaningful activity, adding new motivation to the Army youth movement, creating a solid launching pad for the Army's youth and young talents to contribute and mature.

“The 70 comrades selected and honored today are outstanding representatives among thousands of advanced models of the entire army’s youth in 2024, and are beautiful flowers in the army’s competitive garden of Victory, contributing to affirming and spreading the image and noble qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the new era,” General Phan Van Giang affirmed.

Emphasizing that the new situation requires the work of the Youth Union and the Army youth movement to have a new, solid, breakthrough and creative development, General Phan Van Giang requested that the Army youth constantly cultivate, train and improve their revolutionary qualities and ethics; be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; deeply understand the position and role of inheritors of the revolutionary cause of previous generations and have the honor and responsibility to continue and promote the traditions of the heroic nation and the heroic Army in the process of studying, working and working, contributing to building the Army, consolidating national defense and building the country.

In addition, the youth of the Army need to proactively overcome difficulties, accept hardships, sacrifices, be dynamic, creative, build great ambitions in the spirit of "Confidence, self-reliance, self-reliance, self-strengthening, national pride and self-respect"; promote the spirit of shock and creativity of the youth, take the lead in helping people sustainably reduce poverty, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, develop the socio-economy, prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue, maintain and promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era.

General Phan Van Giang noted that the 70 young faces honored on this occasion need to see their own honor and responsibility, absolutely must not be satisfied with stopping, must be humble, open-minded, continue to build for themselves great ambitions with greater goals, always maintain the role of the nucleus, the core, the vanguard in the revolutionary action movements of the unit's youth and the entire army.

With outstanding achievements, on this occasion, 10 Outstanding Young Faces of the whole army received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense and logos; 60 Promising Young Faces of the whole army received Certificates of Merit from the Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army./.
