Viettel aims to be in the top 3 of V-League 2023/2024

" This year's goal of Viettel football team is to be in the top 3, compete for the championship in V.-League and reach the final of the National Cup ", Mr. Do Manh Dung - Director of Viettel Sports Center shared.

Viettel Club held a departure ceremony on October 18. In addition to the V-League arena, Viettel also set high goals in the cup arena for the first team and youth teams. Viettel strives to reach the top 3 out of 5 tournaments with the participation of youth teams from U13 to U21. Among them, the U19 and U21 teams are assigned the task of reaching the final of the season.

In addition, the team aims to contribute up to 30% of its players to the national youth teams. This is a special season for Viettel, so the team's leadership has set higher goals and achievements.

" The 2023/2024 season will have many special milestones. We celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, and the 35th anniversary of the founding of Viettel Group. These are milestones to motivate our team to achieve better results and be more determined.

In the 2023/2024 season, Viettel Sports Center will also become Viettel Sports One Member Co., Ltd. This is also an opportunity for us to transform and become more professional. Always set high goals to strive for. That is not only a task but also an expectation of the Army and the Group for each Viettel player, " said Mr. Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group.

Meanwhile, captain Bui Tien Dung expressed: " The whole team will constantly strive to fulfill the mission of Viettel football, which is to conquer the hearts of fans. We will put the greatest determination in every match with the spirit that every match is a final match ."

Ahead of the new season, Viettel recruited Bruno Cantanhede for a 2-year contract. This player played for the army team in the 2019 and 2020 seasons. In addition, the team registered 3 U21 players, Dang Tuan Phong, Pham Hoang An and Nguyen Cong Phuong, for the first team.

In round 1, Viettel will be a guest at SLNA's field on October 22.
