The project "Overall strategic consulting on digital transformation and information technology system development (IT Master Plan) of Vietsovpetro" was reported to be completed with the full participation of leaders of Vietsovpetro, FPT and Petrosouth along with managers and project expert teams from all parties.

The project report includes 9 items, highlighting the process of building an overall architecture for digital transformation; Building a roadmap for implementing digital initiatives for each phase of the project from 2024 to 2030 with the goal of digitizing production activities, optimizing operational management by taking advantage of existing digital systems and infrastructure; Developing IT systems, risk management measures during implementation and innovating business models through digital capabilities... At the same time, the report also mentions building an ecosystem to support the goal of sustainable clean energy and service business.
Specifically, in addition to the core task of maintaining stable oil and gas production at an average of 2.8 million tons/year, Vietsovpetro also aims to expand its business model, ensuring an increase in the contribution of other business segments besides oil and gas exploitation, including oil and gas services, offshore wind power investment, offshore wind power services to reach a revenue proportion of 15% by the end of 2025, 30% by the end of 2030 and 60% by the end of 2033.
Mr. Vu Mai Khanh, General Director of Vietsovpetro, emphasized the need to ensure feasible implementation, manage risks and continuously evaluate and update according to reality. To ensure the feasible implementation of digital initiatives, he requested all units to comply with the general direction of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation, closely following the technical requirements for bidding and selecting contractors. Digital transformation implementation is highly systematic, so it is necessary to identify and manage potential risks well.

"The digital transformation roadmap needs to have an overall architecture, in which Vietsovpetro's digital architecture needs to be designed appropriately, closely linked to core business goals. This architecture also ensures that the orientation and investment decisions in any technology directly contribute to Vietsovpetro's business goals, operational optimization and sustainable development strategy. With the established roadmap, Vietsovpetro will ensure the highest feasibility of the digital transformation journey, helping to maximize the possibility of success in the implementation process," said Mr. Le Hung Cuong, Deputy General Director of FPT Digital.
The above goals will be realized through 23 comprehensive digital initiatives, from serving the professional sectors in oil and gas exploration and exploitation such as geology, drilling, exploitation, mine development, design, construction, and maintenance; to the operational management, information security, information technology platform, digital culture, and digital human resources of Vietsovpetro. The implementation roadmap will go through 3 stages, from consolidating resources to preparing for transformation in 2024-2025 and moving towards fully mastering the transformation by 2033.
