VietinBank is recognized as the leading Vietnamese bank in its efforts to reduce carbon emissions through the use of DHL Express Vietnam's GoGreen Plus service. This effort has seen VietinBank successfully reduce 26.66 tons of CO2e by Q3/2024 ( equivalent to planting 1,250 mature trees within 1 year ). This result demonstrates VietinBank's proactive approach to addressing climate change issues and contributing to a sustainable future; and marks an important milestone in its environmental and emissions reduction partnership. The GoGreen Plus service uses sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to significantly reduce lifecycle emissions, in line with global sustainable development goals. This service helps VietinBank reduce Scope 3 emissions, including greenhouse gas emissions for international express shipments. VietinBank’s annual certification is monitored and evaluated by an independent third-party auditor, Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS). In addition, the Carbon Footprint report is updated monthly, detailing VietinBank’s overall reduction in emissions through the use of DHL Express services.
