In the joyful atmosphere of the New Year of At Ty - 2025, Vietnam Railways Corporation organized a New Year Meeting and celebrated the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025). Attending the launching ceremony were the leaders of the Corporation, officers and employees of Vietnam Railways Corporation and leaders of railway units in Hanoi area.
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors Dang Sy Manh said, "The history of the formation and development of the Party Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation is closely linked to the glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam. From the first Party cells established at the train depots: Truong Thi, Thap Cham, Di An and Ke Ray station, ... it has grown stronger and developed widely at railway stations, factories and construction sites. During the past 70 years, the Party Committee of the General Department of Railways (now the Party Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation) has comprehensively led and directed the General Department of Railways, then the Vietnam Railway Union and now the Vietnam Railways Corporation to overcome all difficulties and challenges and achieve extremely important results."
Looking back at 2024, Vietnam Railways Corporation has carried out its political tasks in a context of many difficulties and challenges. However, with a spirit of high determination, great efforts, proactive innovation and creativity, the Party Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation has always maintained its role as the political core, comprehensive and direct leadership, leading Vietnam Railways Corporation to firmly overcome difficulties and achieve many achievements recognized by the Party, State and people.
In 2024, the keyword "railway" has never been searched for so much. The railway industry has launched many new products and services that have been welcomed and highly appreciated by society such as: Journey connecting Central Vietnam's heritage; high-quality trains Hanoi - Da Nang, Saigon - Da Nang, Charter cruise ship, 5-star luxury train Sjourney, and most recently, "Spring Train" serving New Year's Eve... Production and business of Vietnam Railways Corporation continue to maintain growth momentum and exceed assigned plan targets; security, order and traffic safety are maintained; Science and technology and digital transformation are promoted; cooperation with domestic and international partners is expanded; income and life of workers are significantly improved,...
Last year, a milestone in the history of the formation and development of Vietnam Railways was noted when the National Assembly approved the policy of building a high-speed railway with a budget of 67.34 billion USD; the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project is being urgently prepared for investment and will start construction at the end of 2025.
Secretary and Chairman Dang Sy Manh emphasized, "Entering 2025, a year of special significance in accelerating, reaching the finish line, and successfully implementing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of the Corporation; the year commemorating many important political events of the Party, the country and the Vietnam Railways Corporation, we must continue to promote the revolution of streamlining the apparatus; breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation,... With courage, intelligence, enthusiasm and aspiration to contribute, we believe that the Vietnam Railways Corporation will overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities, make maximum efforts, create many new breakthroughs in implementation and will excellently complete the tasks of 2025 and the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of the Corporation".
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Dang Sy Manh wished all employees and their families a new year of good health, happiness and success, and at the same time made a call "Spring, everywhere is full of vitality and "The beloved train - the road of construction" is ready, enthusiastic, confident to join the country in entering a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
