The delivery of the first batch of T-6C trainer aircraft, including five out of 12, is an important milestone in the bilateral defense relationship between the two countries.

“This transfer is an important step forward in the growing partnership between the United States and Vietnam,” Ambassador Marc Knapper said at the event. “The T-6C trainer aircraft will greatly support Vietnam’s pilot training program, reflecting our shared vision of a strong, prosperous, independent, and resilient Vietnam that contributes to regional stability and security.”

The Vietnamese side is committed to working with the US side to exploit the T-6C aircraft most effectively in the coming time, as a basis for training and performing missions of the Vietnam Air Defense - Air Force.”
