The two VAR referees in this match are Mr. Shahdan Mamdouh Mufareh A (Saudi Arabia) and assistant Jahari Muhammad Taqi Aljaafari Bin (Singapore). Previously, according to ASEAN Football , the VAR signal will be transmitted to the stadiums from a central VAR room located in Singapore or Malaysia, without using the resources of the home teams. An official of the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) told Tuoi Tre Online that the central VAR room is located in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). VAR review screens are placed at the stadiums. This solution helps AFF save on organization costs. VAR was first applied at the ASEAN Cup (formerly the AFF Cup) and is the third tournament of AFF to apply this technology after the U16 and U19 Southeast Asian 2024.
