Many busy construction sites have created the shape of the route when viewed from above. Many sections have completed site clearance with a width of 120m. Contractors are implementing the construction of parallel roads, leaving the land in the middle for the expressway viaduct BOT project. The construction site is relatively busy with many machines and equipment mobilized. Previously, on December 26, 2023, Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung inspected and urged the construction progress. According to the report, the parallel road project in Hanoi has 32 construction teams. The problem of soil and sand materials for the roadbed has been basically resolved. The current work at the construction site is mainly scraping off the organic soil layer, pouring new soil and rolling to create the roadbed. The section of Ring Road 4 has taken shape at the intersection with National Highway 6 (adjacent to Yen Nghia bus station and train station). People are moving the last graves at a cemetery in Yen Nghia ward (Ha Dong) because the route of Ring Road 4 cuts straight through this cemetery. According to statistics, the number of graves that have been moved in Hanoi so far is 7,899/9,263 graves, reaching 85.27% of the plan. Once completed, the intersection of Ring Road 4 and National Highway 6 will be a bustling traffic hub with a bus station, train station and ring road. At the intersection with Highway 1, some warehouses have not been relocated. With the land area assigned, contractors began leveling and spreading geotextiles. A row of houses has been relocated to make way for the project. Director of the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Nguyen Chi Cuong said that 714.15/763.86 hectares of land have been handed over, reaching 93.49%. Districts have built 13 resettlement areas with a total area of 32.5 hectares. The section of Ring Road 4 through Thuong Tin has some weak, low-lying ground. The contractor must raise the ground level by 3m and fill in the soil to allow it to settle. The proposed location for the construction of the interchange between Ring Road 4 and Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway. In Thuong Tin area, there are many weak ground sections, the contractor must spread geotextile and place wicks to reinforce the ground. A residential area in Van Tao commune (Thuong Tin district) has not yet been relocated to make way for the project. Resettlement infrastructure is being urgently built in Thuong Tin district to serve households giving up land for Ring Road 4. Currently, the leveling of the Ring Road 4 foundation has been extended to the planned location for the construction of the Me So Bridge in the future. The bridge crosses the Red River, connecting Thuong Tin District (Hanoi) with Van Giang District (Hung Yen). In Me Linh district, the construction unit is also implementing the embankment of the road section through the HUD urban area. There are still some households that have not been relocated, potentially affecting the progress of the leveling. Beltway 4 passes through the fields and crops of Me Linh district. Previously, on December 26, 2023, Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung inspected many locations on the Ring Road 4 construction site. He praised the working spirit of the locality and the construction unit, and requested to strive for progress so that the parallel road section of the project will be completed by the third quarter of 2025 at the latest (Photo: Viet Thanh).
