Van Quyet suddenly announced his retirement from the national team

Immediately after the match between Vietnam and India at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh), Van Quyet announced his retirement from the national team. This information was confirmed by Hanoi FC.

In this match, the striker born in 1991 was put on the field in the 70th minute. He played quite energetically and created many opportunities. Unfortunately, Van Quyet did not have a goal of his own in the last match for the Vietnam team.

Before saying goodbye, Van Quyet had 13 years wearing the national team jersey. The Hanoi FC striker was first called up to the Vietnam national team in 2011. Up to now, he has had 55 appearances for the national team and scored 13 goals.

In particular, this striker once scored a memorable goal against Man City in a friendly match in 2015.

Van Quyet was once a mainstay of the Vietnam national team under coach Miura. He had a long time without being called up to the Vietnam national team under coach Park Hang Seo or Troussier.
