According to statistics from Seasia goal, the average age of U23 Vietnam at the 2024 AFC U23 Championship is 20.21 years old.
The team led by coach Hoang Anh Tuan is the youngest among the 16 teams competing in Qatar.
In the registration list sent to AFC, Nguyen Manh Hung (Binh Phuoc), born on August 8, 2005, is the youngest player in the U23 Vietnam squad. Next is Le Nguyen Hoang (SLNA), born on February 14, 2005.

The second youngest team in this year's U23 Asian Cup is U23 Indonesia. Coach Shin Tae Yong's players have an average age of 20.56 years old. Tied for third place are U23 Tajikistan and U23 hosts Qatar, both 20.95 years old.
Meanwhile, U23 Saudi Arabia (21.91 years old), U23 Japan (21.60 years old) and U23 Thailand (21.43 years old) are the "oldest" teams in the Qatar U23 Asian Cup.
In terms of average height, U23 Vietnam is the third shortest team at 1.763m. The average height of 368 players from 16 participating teams is 1.789m, according to the initial registration list announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on April 10.
Eight teams are below average, with Vietnam the third lowest. The two teams above them are Malaysia (1.7609m) and Kuwait (1.7626m) - in Group D with Vietnam.
The tallest team is China at 1.8396m. The other three teams with an average height above 1.8m are Japan (1.8057m), Australia (1.8143m) and South Korea (1.8174m).

In terms of value, U23 Vietnam is valued at 2.34 million euros by Transfermarkt at this year's tournament, ranking 11th out of 16. Other notable players are Nguyen Thai Son, Khuat Van Khang, Luong Duy Cuong, Ho Van Cuong, all valued at 150,000 euros.
Meanwhile, Japan U23 is valued at 12.6 million euros, the highest in the tournament. The most valuable player of Japan U23 is striker Mao Hosoya with a value of 1.6 million euros. Coming in right behind is Korea U23 with a value of 11.28 million euros.
The 2024 AFC U23 Championship will take place in Qatar from April 15 to May 3. Vietnam U23 is in Group D, facing Kuwait U23 (April 17), Malaysia U23 (April 20) and Uzbekistan U23 (April 23).
