U23 Vietnam entered the quarter-finals 1 match early.
In the second match of Group D of the 2024 AFC U23 Championship, U23 Vietnam won 2-0 against U23 Malaysia. This is the second consecutive victory of Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team.
This result, combined with U23 Uzbekistan's 5-0 victory over U23 Kuwait in the match that followed, helped U23 Vietnam secure a ticket to the quarter-finals of the 2024 U23 Asian Cup one match early.
In the final match, U23 Vietnam and U23 Uzbekistan will face each other to compete for the first and second place in Group D, thereby choosing their opponents in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, U23 Malaysia and U23 Kuwait will play a formality match because they have been eliminated.
