In 2024, Quang Yen Town attracted 22 foreign direct investment projects in industrial parks in the area with a total registered capital of about 1.239 billion USD.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Finance and Planning Department of Quang Yen Town, since mid-2023, the Town People's Committee has proactively developed and registered an investment promotion program, along with a list of priority projects to attract investment in the area. The Town has established working groups to promote investment and site clearance for key projects, regularly connecting and grasping the progress of implementing key projects that are driving forces to promote socio-economic development to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles...
To facilitate investment attraction, Quang Yen Town has accelerated the progress of coordinating investment in transport infrastructure and other essential service infrastructure, such as: Dam Nha Mac intersection; Ha Long Xanh intersection; connecting road from Ha Long - Hai Phong highway to provincial road 331; riverside road connecting from Ha Long - Hai Phong highway to Dong Trieu city... In which, the Ben Rung bridge approach road project in Hiep Hoa commune has been put into operation and use. The town has coordinated to review the demand for electricity and water infrastructure for industrial parks to ensure stable and synchronous supply, creating conditions for investors in industrial park infrastructure to attract and invite secondary investors.
Land acquisition and clearance, creating clean land fund is an important key in attracting investment. Up to now, the progress of land acquisition and clearance of projects has basically met the implementation schedule, especially key projects. The town has directed the development of progress of land acquisition and clearance for each specific project, periodically reviewed the progress, proactively proposed to the province to remove difficulties and obstacles related to land acquisition and clearance; urged the progress of infrastructure investment in industrial parks: Nam Tien Phong, Bac Tien Phong, Song Khoai, Bach Dang.
Up to now, the town has directed and implemented the land acquisition work for 24 projects, with a total land area of 4,334.73 hectares, with a total of 2,373 households and organizations affected. The town has organized 7 public planning meetings; organized working sessions with investors and dialogues with people to resolve difficulties and obstacles in the land acquisition work. At the same time, it has paid compensation and resettlement support to 752 households; and handed over 133 hectares of cleared land to investors.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, General Director of Amata Ha Long Urban Joint Stock Company, said: Amata Group has been researching investment in Quang Ninh since 2012. During the investment process in Quang Yen Town, we have received a lot of support and assistance from the local government, especially in administrative work and site clearance. Currently, we are continuing to closely coordinate with government agencies to speed up the progress of site handover and infrastructure completion, ready to welcome FDI enterprises to invest in Song Khoai Industrial Park.
The key to attracting investment is reform and control of administrative procedures that continues to be strengthened. Quang Yen Town has announced 10 procedures, reviewed, abolished, and proposed new replacements for 38 procedures; and publicly posted 335 procedures at the Town Public Administration Center.
Along with that, trained labor resources are the key that investors are interested in. The town continues to direct the implementation of the Project on training, career conversion and job creation for workers whose land has been recovered to serve socio-economic development projects and industrial parks in the area in the period of 2021-2025. In 2024, the town organized 13 recruitment networking sessions and successfully recruited 100 workers for businesses...
