Specifically, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City enrolls students in the Medical major by the following methods: direct admission, graduation exam scores, academic records, and competency assessment scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

With the method of considering graduation exam scores and academic records, the school uses 4 combinations, including combination D12 (Literature, Chemistry, English); A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry); B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology); D08 (Math, Biology, English).

Vo Truong Toan University, Hau Giang and Tan Tao University, Long An, both use the B03 block combination (Math, Literature, Biology) to recruit medical students, applied to candidates who are admitted based on their graduation exam scores. Other combinations are B00, D08 and A02 (Math, Physics, Biology).

Duy Tan University recruits students for the Medical major using 4 groups: A16 (Math, Natural Sciences, Literature); B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology); D90 (Math, Natural Sciences, Foreign Languages) and D08 (Math, Biology, Foreign Languages).
