Tuyen Quang: Meeting with businesses to promote production and business

On the afternoon of March 21, at Royal Plaza Center, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to meet with businesses to promote production and business. Comrade Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son affirmed the role of enterprises in economic and social development and social security work in the province. He emphasized: In 2025, Tuyen Quang province set a growth target of 10.05%. GRDP scale reached 55,786 billion VND. GRDP per capita reached 66.69 million VND. To achieve that goal, it requires the efforts and contributions of enterprises.

This conference aims to discuss and listen to recommendations from businesses to state management agencies to remove difficulties and obstacles, create conditions and motivation for businesses to promote production and business.

According to the report of the Department of Finance, the province currently has 2,837 non-state enterprises, 19 enterprises with 100% foreign investment capital. The main fields of activity are trade and services with over 1,506 enterprises, accounting for 53%; industry - construction with over 1,203 enterprises, accounting for over 42%; agriculture, forestry and fishery with 128 enterprises, accounting for 4.5%.

In 2024, revenue from the non-state economic sector and foreign enterprises reached over 867 billion VND. Production and business activities of enterprises began to recover, positively impacting the economic recovery of the province. Enterprises in the province have exploited the potential strengths of the locality; contributing to promoting production development, creating jobs, increasing budget revenue, and improving people's lives.

However, besides the achieved results, there are still some limitations such as: The number of enterprises in the province in recent years has increased in quantity but the growth rate is not high, the majority of enterprises in the private economic sector are classified as small and medium enterprises, accounting for over 98%. Production and business projects of enterprises are mainly small and medium-sized, rarely using advanced technology; there are not many projects of a driving force; few projects investing in industrial infrastructure business...

To ensure the double-digit growth target, the province will focus on ensuring raw material sources and stable electricity supply for production to maintain 100% capacity of existing factories, especially for factories with large industrial production value; remove difficulties, speed up the implementation progress of production and business projects; speed up the implementation progress of urban area projects, service and trade projects with expected large budget revenue.

At the conference, provincial leaders and departments, branches, districts and cities listened to businesses and investors discuss and share some difficulties and problems related to planning, ensuring raw material sources for production; site clearance and land for projects; speeding up the progress of value-added tax refunds for businesses; completing traffic infrastructure; orientation in vocational training... Leaders of departments and branches answered and clarified the contents that businesses and investors were interested in.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ha Thi Nga emphasized: Today's meeting with enterprises is of great significance, especially at a time when the whole country is preparing for the work of arranging administrative boundaries and streamlining the apparatus. She highly appreciated the enthusiastic opinions of enterprises and investors at the conference who trusted in the leadership of the Party Committee and the management of the provincial authorities at all levels; at the same time, she shared the difficulties and concerns of enterprises and investors in the past time.

He affirmed the important role of enterprises and the private economy in economic development, increasing budget revenue, promoting the province's potential, creating high-quality products for export, creating jobs and stable income for tens of thousands of workers inside and outside the province... Not only trying and making efforts in production and business, the business community in the province also actively participates in social security work, typically supporting the recovery of the consequences of storm No. 3, participating in gratitude activities, supporting the elimination of temporary houses and dilapidated houses...

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ha Thi Nga requested the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to promptly resolve difficulties for businesses and investors; review the province's mechanisms and policies on business development; focus on thoroughly resolving issues related to debts, tax refunds, etc. to reduce difficulties for businesses in the current context. Departments and branches must seriously implement the 30% reduction of administrative procedures. Party committees, authorities, departments and branches of the province must closely coordinate in creating the most favorable environment for business development.

He hoped that businesses and investors would continue to stick with Tuyen Quang to organize and ensure the progress and quality of projects being invested in; the Business Association and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association would play a good role as a bridge between businesses and provincial leaders and state management agencies; and hoped that the Tuyen Quang business community would be a pioneer in innovation, proactively applying science and technology to increase productivity and quality of production and business.
