(1) Establish Thu Dau Mot ward on the basis of merging 05 wards including: Phu Cuong, Phu Loi, Phu Hoa, Chanh Nghia, Phu Tho

(2) Establish Chau Thanh ward on the basis of merging 05 wards including: Tan An, Chanh My, Tuong Binh Hiep, Hiep An, Dinh Hoa

(3) Establish Binh Duong ward on the basis of merging 04 wards: Phu My, Hiep Thanh, Hoa Phu, Phu Tan

Di An merged 08 wards into 02 wards:

​​(1) Establish Di An ward on the basis of merging 05 wards including: Binh Thang, Binh An, Dong Hoa, An Binh, Di An

(2) Establish Tan Dong Hiep ward on the basis of merging 03 wards: An Phu (Thuan An), Tan Binh, Tan Dong Hiep

Thuan An merged 08 wards and 01 commune into 02 wards:

(1) Establish Lai Thieu ward on the basis of merging An Son commune and 05 wards: An Thanh, Binh Nham, Lai Thieu, Hung Dinh, Vinh Phu.

(2) Establish Thuan An ward on the basis of merging 03 wards: Binh Chuan, Thuan Giao, Binh Hoa.

Tan Uyen merged 02 communes and 10 wards into 04 wards:

(1) Establish Vinh Tan ward on the basis of merging 02 wards: Vinh Tan and Phu Chanh.

(2) Establish Tan Uyen ward on the basis of merging 02 wards: Uyen Hung and Hoi Nghia

(3) Establish Tan Hiep ward on the basis of merging 02 wards including Tan Hiep, Khanh Binh and Bach Dang commune.

(4) Establish Tan Khanh ward on the basis of merging Thanh Hoi commune and 04 wards including: Thai Hoa, Thanh Phuoc, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Tan Vinh Hiep

Bau Bang merged 01 town and 06 communes into 02 communes :

(1) Establish Bau Bang commune on the basis of merging Lai Uyen town and 02 communes: Cay Truong II, Tru Van Tho

(2) Establish Long Nguyen commune on the basis of merging 04 communes: Long Nguyen, Tan Hung, Hung Hoa, Lai Hung

Bac Tan Uyen merged 02 towns and 08 communes into 03 communes :

(1) Establishing Binh My commune on the basis of merging Tan Binh town and 02 communes: Binh My, Tan Lap

(2) Establish Tan Thanh commune on the basis of merging Tan Thanh town and 02 communes: Tan Dinh and Dat Cuoc
