Ham Kiem – Tien Thanh route: Low investment, high efficiency

The hustle and bustle of hundreds of cars on the route of only about 8 km shows that this is a more convenient route to connect with tourist attractions than other routes in the area. The Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh route, about 8 km long, was invested by the Provincial People's Committee with less than 420 billion VND from the provincial budget, but it has achieved unexpected results. It creates favorable conditions and shortens the time for tourists from the Southern, Southeast and Central Highlands provinces to travel on the highway down to National Highway 1 (km 14, Ham Kiem commune, Ham Thuan Nam) and then connects directly to Tien Thanh (Phan Thiet city) intersecting with Highway 719B to create a roundabout as a highlight, then can spread out to coastal tourist areas in Tien Thanh or Ham Thuan Nam or La Gi town.

The road has a roadbed width of 37 m, a road surface width of 16 m, a median strip of 9 m, and a 6 m shoulder on each side. The road surface structure is asphalt concrete on a crushed stone aggregate foundation. Renovate 3 reinforced concrete bridges on the route, each bridge has 2 bridge units 8 m apart, including: Suoi Sop bridge at Km0+615, Bau Ca Dam bridge at Km+812 and Suoi Nho bridge at Km 1+346. The scale of each bridge unit is the width of the roadway of 8 m, the width of the guardrail and sidewalk of 2.5 m. Invest in drainage systems, trees and traffic safety systems.

The Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh route is like a silk scarf across many gentle hillsides with green dragon fruit gardens. In the season of ripe red dragon fruit intertwined with the green of dragon fruit trees, creating a poetic scene that leaves many tourists in awe. Ms. Hoang Thi Nga from Ho Chi Minh City went to Phan Thiet with her family to celebrate the Hung Kings' death anniversary and passed through Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh road, confided: "The tourist cars on the road are very crowded, but thanks to the wide road running through the dragon fruit gardens on both sides of the road, the scenery is very beautiful. When the children arrived here, they had to stop the car to take some photos to show off to their friends. Personally, I think Binh Thuan's investment in this road is very effective to stimulate tourism development, especially the land fund on both sides of the road when exploited will increase the effect for developing commercial business and tourism."

Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh route started construction on November 16, 2021, with a construction period of 4 years. The route is being constructed by a joint venture of Viet Hoa Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company and 515 Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company. The project has now been completed, this is a key project of the province and one of the projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Binh Thuan Liberation Day, the project is expected to be inaugurated next week...
