Week of "Great National Unity - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" takes place from November 15

VOV.VN - The 2024 "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week will be held from November 15 to November 24, 2024 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).

Taking place from November 15 to November 24, 2024 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi), the 2024 "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week will have outstanding activities: Opening program of the 2024 "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week; The 7th Then singing and Tinh lute art festival of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups in 2024; National Great Unity Day at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism; performing, exchanging, introducing the culture of ethnic groups including cultural exchange of ethnic groups in the Central Highlands, cultural exchange of ethnic groups in the Northwest, cultural exchange of ethnic groups in the Southwest... It is expected that more than 200 people from 17 ethnic groups in 12 localities will participate in the "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week in 2024, with people participating in daily activities at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village and coordinating the organization of events. In addition, there will be ethnic artist groups and mass actors from a number of localities participating in the 7th Then singing and Tinh lute art festival of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups in 2024 at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village.

On this occasion, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, there will also be activities in ethnic village clusters, honoring the strength of the great national unity bloc, the tradition of attachment, sharing, and mutual support in the community. Ethnic people in the Village will respond to the great unity festival by organizing folk songs, folk dances, and folk games to connect ethnic groups and tourists in introducing and promoting indigenous ethnic cultures as well as creating a united bloc for mutual development. Notably, the exchange program "Song of Solidarity" of ethnic people operating in the Village contributes to strengthening solidarity, helping each other, and together preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of the community.

The "Great National Unity - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week in 2024 aims to contribute to preserving and promoting the tradition of great national unity; honoring the cultural heritage of Vietnamese ethnic groups; enhancing practical cultural, sports and tourism exchanges to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Traditional Day - the founding day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024) and the anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23); honoring the spirit of great national unity, a precious tradition and cultural heritage of our nation, forged through thousands of years of building and defending the country. In addition, the program aims to spread and promote national cultural identity, preserve, promote and honor the cultural identity of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups; Raise awareness and responsibility in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development according to Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Party Central Committee, Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the 2021 National Cultural Conference.
