From the clean vegetable production model in Thanh Dong village (Cam Thanh commune), Thanh Dong organic vegetable and tourism cooperative has gradually developed and formed, becoming a new eco-tourism destination of Hoi An city.

This destination is loved by tourists and is a place for domestic students to visit and learn about safe agricultural production. The number of visitors coming to visit and learn about the vegetable garden increases every year thanks to experiential activities, from cooking, farming, rowing basket boats on the river...

And Cam Thanh does not only have the Thanh Dong clean vegetable production model. Starting from a tourist attraction, the destinations have developed tourism and trade services, linked with ecological potential, rice fields, rivers and traditional water coconut bamboo and painting craft.

From tourism to learn about organic vegetable production in Xu Dong Gia, organic rice in Canh Dong Mau, exploring community life in the river area of ​​Bay Mau coconut forest... bringing great benefits to local residents.

In Cam Ha commune, the tour “a day as a Tra Que farmer”, exploiting the cultural elements of craft villages and traditional local cuisine, has left an impression on tourists. This locality has also implemented a VietGap organic vegetable chain model in Tra Que as well as recognized the vegetable village as meeting VietGap standards.

Every year, Hoi An invests 3-5 billion VND to support farmers and fishermen in communes to integrate production development programs, increase income, and deploy models of applying technical advances in production.

From new production models, the city government encourages and facilitates farmers to cooperate and form joint ventures with businesses to exploit tours and routes. Many typical products in rural and craft villages are also promoted, their value is enhanced, and they are associated with annual cultural events in Hoi An.

A safe and clean tourism ecosystem is formed from organic agricultural production sites. Mr. Nguyen The Hung - Vice Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee said that following the path of developing ecological urban areas and ecological tourism, the chosen industries and models have contributed to sustainable environmental protection, that is, not going against the laws of nature and behaving in a cultural manner towards nature and people.
