Touch Sa Pa - Stimulating tourism after the storm in 2024

NDO - On October 29, in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association organized a tourism stimulus cooperation program with the theme "Touch Sa Pa - Touch the clouds in 2024" with the presence of more than 130 business units operating in the tourism sector.

Storm No. 3 has passed, but its severe consequences remain. At times, Sa Pa town even had to temporarily suspend outdoor tourism activities and stop welcoming visitors to historical sites and scenic spots in the area.

Therefore, the urgent issue for Sa Pa right now is to restore the tourism economy. According to Mr. Pham Cao Vy - Chairman of Lao Cai Tourism Association, the association has highly agreed to organize a tourism stimulus cooperation program with the theme "Touch Sa Pa - Touch the clouds in 2024".

This is a preferential program for accommodation units, restaurants, transportation, tourist attractions, check-in, homestays by reducing service prices from 10 to 50% or giving additional promotional gift packages.

More importantly, this is the right time for the tourism industry in Sa Pa in particular and Lao Cai in general to improve destinations, landscapes, and enhance service quality and experiences for tourists.

Lao Cai Tourism Association hopes that the program will create a good effect, attract tourists, turn Sa Pa, Lao Cai, into a safe, unique and hospitable destination, quickly restart and restore the local smokeless industry, and complete the set goals in 2024.

Attending and speaking at the conference, many large enterprises such as Sun Group Corporation and Inter Bus Line Transport Company all had important consultations. Some enterprises operating in the tourism industry and local tourism services also had valid opinions.

During the recent natural disasters and floods, all businesses have encountered difficulties, to a greater or lesser extent, so businesses really need support from all levels and sectors, especially the Tourism Association, to have accurate and timely information and the right direction in their operation and development strategies in the coming time.

Up to now, Sa Pa has basically restored traffic routes to ensure smooth traffic, creating favorable conditions for people's travel and the needs of sightseeing, tourism, and exploration of visitors.

At the same time, Comrade To Ngoc Lien also suggested some solutions to restore the tourism industry in the short and long term such as: Restoring tourism infrastructure, prioritizing the repair and upgrading of damaged infrastructure such as hotels, restaurants and transportation systems; Organizing tourism promotion programs, tourism businesses and restaurants, hotels need to offer preferential policies, discounts for tourists during this period.

On the other hand, promote Sa Pa tourism by using social media channels, the town's tourism website as well as businesses, communities, and individuals with great influence on social and media platforms; Build new tourism products, enhance security and safety for tourists...
